At Winify, trust is our absolute foundation. We utilize an industry-standard cryptographic hashing algorithm to ensure every giveaway roll is 100% random, perfectly transparent, and mathematically impossible to manipulate.
Immutable
Once a giveaway starts, the mathematical parameters are securely locked. No host, admin, or script can alter the final outcome.
Transparent
Every roll is public. Anyone can independently verify the hash to mathematically prove that the winning result was completely randomized.
Unbiased
The winner is chosen via a high-entropy decentralized seed formula, meaning the creator has absolutely zero control over who is picked.
How We Pick Winners
The Server Seed
When a giveaway is created, our server generates a highly secure, randomized Server Seed. Its exact value is hidden, but we provide you with its hashed version immediately to prove it was generated before the giveaway ended.
The Public Seed
To guarantee we cannot rig the outcome, a public unalterable seed (like a blockchain hash or EOS block) from the exact moment the giveaway ends is combined with the Server Seed. We can't predict this public seed.
The Final Roll
We combine the Server Seed and the Public Seed using an HMAC-SHA256 algorithm. The resulting hex string is converted into a mathematically fair number, which selects the winner from the exact pool of eligible entrants.
